Today's promos come thanks to 7th Son Obsidian

"Disturbia".

Citizen Kane is my only top priority title with LOVEFiLM, and yet they instead sent me the Taking of Pelham One Two Three and 12 Angry Men - both superb films featuring cast members of the original version of Fail-Safe but still...

I guess Kane is as popular as a new release is.

Ems, I hate to nit-pick but I'm not really sure if the trailers are in the right places.

love the podcast you guys!

Without it I would gave never seen Phantom of the Paradise.

Keep up the good work!

Alirio! Did you take the Phantom plunge?

Hope you enjoyed. Also, if you can find a copy I also recommend the soundtrack, even that is clever in its use of repeated themes, or more stuff that Swan chose from Winslow Leach. The juicy Fruits' surf number "Upholstery" relies largely on bit from "Faust", the song leach sings solo at the piano.

Also, it's easier to concentrate on the lyrics of Goodbye, Eddie, Goodbye which are simply brilliant.

After all that wittering, I hope you DID like it!

I did enjoy it! I especially loved the set design.

I thought it was a big stretch to have Winslow feel so much for Pheonix so quickly.

I was pleasantly surprised by the "Dick Clark-ian" he hasn't aged sub-plot. I wish they had developped that further.

I'll look for the soundtrack. I wasn't expecting to like the music as much as I did. I approached the film, at first, like something to watch as a lark, but I wound up enjoying it tremendously.

Have you reviewed any Luc Besson movies? Also, might I suggest you all watch the "Bleu, Blanc, Rouge" trilogy and perhaps do a podcast on a-typical, non-action/adventure trilogies.

This time iI must ell you that I am the bigges tidiot int he world. The one thing I really dislike about editing cue the film is the clip hunting, getting the right movie, and in some cases, finding aclip from a film.

I copied and pasted the wrong clip, departed,t wice. Sorry

I stuck the three colors in my queue.

Ems - I haven't heard the show yet, but if you think it would benefit from it, I'm happy to go and redo the trailer parts so it can be re-upped. Let me know here, or on Twitter if you think it's worth doing - shouldn't be too big a deal.

well to tell you the truth I really don't think its that big a deal what do people think? hahaha

Stephanie said...

Yeah, I think it's a rather big deal.

I didn't really notice, but I've been on painkillers for a few days...

Normally I think I would notice.

Knowing myself, if it were my Podcast - which it isn't, I would re-edit.

I've been trying to think of other non- action/adventure trilogies and I can't.

Quite frustrating...

I'll whip up a new edit and repost. Surely it's wryly amusing that the podcast about remakes would need to be remade?

Chris JC said...

DO NOT grab the repost yet - only the info has been updated, not the actual file (I've never done this before!).

I'll give you the word.

It Is Done - hope you enjoy!
